Lana Del Rey, like the rest of us, is an Ariana Grande fan.
The singer recorded herself on Instagram recently, singing and lip-synching to the song “Pete Davidson” from Grande's Sweetener. “I thought you into my life, look at my mind,” Del Rey whispers as the song plays in the background. “No better place or a time, how they align.”
Turns out, this recording isn’t all that surprising. Del Rey has apparently been a fan of Grande’s for a bit and even said in an interview earlier this year that she listens to Whitney Houston and Grande to get ready for shows. It is somewhat surprising that she and her moody BDE energy are into bubblegum pop music, but we're here for it.
Del Rey released her own new music this week and announced that she’s releasing a new album next year. After hearing Del Rey’s 10-minute long song “Venice Bitch,” her managers apparently asked her if she could just “make a three-minute normal pop song.” Who knows, maybe she’ll link up with Grande in the future to do just that.
